Who we are

Lansdowne Data is a custom software company based in Northern Virginia. This site, lansdownedata.com, is how prospective clients learn about our work and get in touch. Questions about this policy go to info@lansdownedata.com.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you use the contact form or the process cost calculator, we store what you enter: your name, email, company, phone number if provided, your message, and the budget and timeline you select. The calculator also stores the figures you entered so we can reference them when we reply.

How you found us. Alongside a form submission we record the page you landed on, the referring site, and any campaign tags in the URL. This tells us which of our pages actually bring in conversations.

Analytics, with your consent controlling cookies. Google Analytics runs in consent mode. Until you accept analytics cookies, it sets no cookies and records only aggregate, unidentified counts such as "a visitor viewed the engagements page". If you accept, it also sets its usual cookies so repeat visits can be recognised. You can change your choice at any time from the cookie banner.

How we use it

To reply to your inquiry, prepare a proposal if you ask for one, and understand which parts of the site are useful. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you filled out a form.

Services we rely on

  • Postmark delivers the email that tells us you wrote in and the confirmation sent to you.
  • Google reCAPTCHA screens form submissions for automated abuse. Its use is subject to Google's privacy policy and terms.
  • Google Analytics in consent mode: cookieless aggregate counts by default, cookies only after you accept.
  • Heroku hosts the site and the database where inquiries are stored.

Retention and your choices

Inquiries are kept while there is an active or prospective business relationship and deleted on request. Email info@lansdownedata.com to see, correct, or delete what we hold about you. Cookie preferences are stored in a single cookie on your device and can be reset from the banner or by clearing site data.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted here for at least thirty days.
